Burgundy has an excellent climate, with long hot summers, accompanied with cold but very dry and short winters. From spring until late September and sometimes beyond, the climate is warm and dry with summer temperatures often reaching 30ºC plus (86ºF). It is this semi-continental climate which makes possible the culture of vineyards and help make some of the best wine produced in France.
